According to All Access: KONN-FM: 107.1 's Morning show:

Davin & Ana Exit KONN Mornings
DENVER RADIO COMPANY Top 40 KONN (107.1 ONE FM)/DENVER morning duo DAVIN & ANA move on after a year.

is this perhaps the End for KONN, and even TOP 40 in Denver??

KONN's Signal hurts their chances of making a mark with the TOP-40 dance format......

Not sure of someone else would take the Top 40 format or maybe this would finally be it for the Format
in Denver..???

Thoughts????

Not sure if Denver Radio has any money left to operate 107.1/101.5?? Given also they are Rim Shots......

I listen online and really like this station,, I wouldnt call it a Dance-Top 40 format,, its more of an equal balance,,, my station plays more dance thatn KONN.. Still I think the signal being squashed between the two 100kw KBPI on 106.7 and KS 107.5 is hurting them,, In metro denver most people using the scan-seek button, it will skip right from 106.7 and land on 107.5.. They have a good signal in Aurora, but the father west and south of even north you go, it all but disappears,, they need a CP to get a stick closer to D-Town which woud probably require a new frequency,, Their signal however cant be any worse than JACK FM 105.5 which is right between 105.1 and 105.9 and they are farther away, plus there is another 105.5 in the springs,,, I dont know how Jack is surviving.. Butt anyway Unless they sell the station, I dont think they will flip it from Top 40, its probably just another casuality of the downsizing due to the recession. They may go Jockless if they havent already. What other format holes are in Denver????None Really....

Further north you go you would loose 107.1?? Huh wrong....
If that was even true then everyone up here in Northern Colorado including FOrt Collins and Loveland wouldn't be able to pick it up! In fact 107.1 comes in loud and clear up here. And for 105.5 true Jack doesn't come in that clear due to the fact the stick is right here in Fort Collins just west of here actually. That is why they added KCUV to the signal to improve the signal quality( remember?) There for Jack is heard in Denver dispite the last time i was down there they had a few problems with the commercial breaks on 102.3. I am sure KONN well survive and so well KTNI to. Considering with the loss of KCUV, KTNI would proably start to grow allot more.

I don't like Top 40 at all but I like the presentation of KONN. They just need a better morning show now that they got rid of David & Anna. My question is, with no ratings and competing with KS 107.5 & Alice, how the hell did they get trips to Mexico to giveaway all fall?

I wouldnt cosider Alice a direct competition to KONN,,, KQKS is for sure cause they are both youth formats and are located so close on the dial..

Alice is more of a competitor to Hot AC 100.3, and the new 101.5 Modern Rock.. As far as I know Alice doesnt play any Rhythmic/hip Hop or Dance music,, at least last time I heard them..

I kinda missed when 107.5 was Y-108 and THE MIX,,,, and KQKS sounded more CHRish when they were on 104.3....
