KOOL 105.3

Just a comment.... Anyone with an RDS-equipped radio notice KOOL was running song titles on it?!

Earlier this evening, I was listening to Bob & Vinnie do their last show on WWL, but on the simulcast on 105.3. As I looked at the radio, I noticed song titles were cycling. And every few minutes, the song titles would change.

I used to work at Entercom and the automation system works the RDS. Apparently, they must have been testing the automation; getting it ready for Thursday. They were running the system like a normal broadcast, but without actually airing it. You saw them, but you didn't hear them! lol

That's the only conclusion I could think of.... Thoughts?<P ID="signature">______________

Bob and Vinnie said as they signed off WWL last night that they would make their return on KOOL Monday morning at 5am. What will KOOL do Thursday and Friday?? Or have they decided to hold the re-launch until next week??

Actually, they're already streaming at www.kool1053fm.com. So you can hear it now, just not on the radio... yet.

The relaunch was supposed to be tomorrow (3/23/06). Do ya think they'll start the format tonight at midnight or wait till tomorrow morning at 5am??<P ID="signature">______________
