Kool 105 Burlington Now Called "Classic Hits" ??

Noticed driving home Friday night that Kool 105 is now calling themselves "Classic Hits Kool 105."Although their web site hasn't caught up with the slogan change yet.Seems I'm hearing more and more 70's, maybe even some early 80's stuff, songs from the 60's are few and far between now.Joe

Well you know what that means! MP103 and the fine people at Northeast Broadcasting will ONCE AGAIN have a format change on 103.3! Bring Alice back? Why not! We all know Hall will have a better budget to keep up with the imaging demands of a "classic hits" station... Oh wait, they can't bring Alice back. For one, none of the members of the past airstaff are there (PD Scott McKenzie is out of radio, Eddie Torez is a county PD in the midwest, EJ Evans is a producer at WPRO in RI, Dan something or other who was there for about 2 months is at triple-x). Second, NEB ownership will NEVER put live jocks back in the budget. Only a matter of time before he sells out to Citadel or the like anyways...

They don't exactly have an amazing track record for staying on one format... what makes you so sure? Or would the better question be... who are you, Bob Rowe?

"They don't exactly have an amazing track record for staying on one format..." Not to contradict you Ed, but hasn't 104.7 been AAA for over 20 years? Not too many stations in this market have been in the same format for over 20 years.I don't think Bob Rowe is there anymore. They have a new GM.You used to work for them or something?

Chuck... yes NCS has been on one format for a long time... I'm talking about the 93.7/103.3 cluster based in Middlebury/S. Burlington... The Lake? The Arrow? Alice? And that's not going back so far.And FYI... Bob Rowe has a do-nothing job now as "VP in charge of Sat. Programming." Translation, "Hey Bob... you're not good at much else so would you do us a favor, we've got all these staffless radio stations... wanna be a babysitter?"

Been forgetting to write this forever... Will writes... "Wasn't he at The Rose on the Cape prior to Triple X?"What does this have to do with anything? The only person who would care enough to write something like that is Dan himself, or a buddy of his... Yes, he was in a nothing market doing nights at the Rose for a few months. And Chuck, any more thoughts on the stability of the Champlain Groups formats? I mean, come on, they took local mornings off WFAD!
