Kool 96.7 coming back??

With the comeback of CBS-FM in NYC, does anyone think the 96.7 frequency might return to their oldies format? Or will another station flip to the "updated" oldies format ???..

Extremely doubtful.

Think about it, they recently filed to move their city of license over the CT/NY border - expect a transmitter move in the not too distant future. They're not going to switch to a format that's dominated by a flame throwing signal that CBS-FM has (as opposed to the 3KW signal the coast currently has). It just wouldn't make sense. Personally, I would think they would even try to distant themselves further from resembling any their past format to make the station an alternative to those who prefer something other than oldies.
