KOOL Chhhanges ???

Listen now...Stunting has begun. HAHAHAHAHA I love knowing more than you guys.

let me guess its Alternative? Corbin Pierce is going to Tulsa it would only make sence to put him where he can fail.

Ok I was worng. but this is a joke. It sounds the same to me.

PRESS RELEASE

After stunting with a robotic voice saying random pop-culture phrases like "I did not have sexual relations with that woman," quoting song lyrics like "Does anybody really know what time it is?" and movie lines like "Strange things are afoot at the CIRCLE K," and counting down to something happening at 5p (CT), CLEAR CHANNEL Oldies KQLL/TULSA relaunched as "Classic Top 40: The Greatest Top 40 Hits." It will retain its "KOOL 106.1" moniker.

The first song was DIANA ROSS' "I'm Coming Out," followed by GLEN CAMPBELL's "Rhinestone Cowboy," KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND's "Get Down Tonight," and THE ROLLING STONES' "Emotional Rescue."

That's slightly in-accurate, Kool actually moved from Kool 106-point-1 to Kool 106-1. Not that it's really a big deal, but none the less.

Kool 1061 sounds less "oldies" than having the 'point' in there.

That makes sense.

I think it sounds awesome. Incredible. Excellent. I'll just turn it up and rip the knobs off. Kevin for president! Woo Hoo!!!

It looks like we've moved into the 70s and 80s, including the dreaded disco era. Good luck with that.

The first few hours look like they were culled from Abba's Greatest Hits. Yuck.

And from what I hear, they've re-imaged, re-positioned, and are re-branding...

That's not a "mere playlist tweak."

Sure, they may not have painted, remodeled the studio, fired all the jocks and started over...

I'm not in the market to listen. But what they've done is more significant than just a playlist tweak, from what I've heard.

Am I wrong?

Someone help me out here.

You can listen to KQLL on the internet, plus they publish their playlist as well. http://www.kooltulsa.com/main.html

The listen live feature isn't working for me.

Didn't work yesterday for me either.

Might be the computers on which I have tried it.
