I am NOT going through all those posts below just to see if this has been discussed!

This week, Arf's morning show has been called "The All-Request Kool Ride."

The last time anyone here did an all-request morning show was "The All-Request Morning Show with Lisa and Chumley."

So, guys, is this...

a. another jump the shark moment?
b. a way to do free research with the P1's?

Let's all call up and request "Strokin'" by Clarence Carter.

Probably more "A" (and likely to result in them playing a lot of stiffs in what should be their key daypart).

If their angle is "B", it's a lousy way to do research. Less than 5% of any station's cume ever calls to participate in contests or requests- basing your music decisions on that would be suicidal.

I know what you are talking about now...I hear it this morning.......signal come in and out where I am at but when it was in Arf was on and he said "The All-Request Kool Ride." It has got to be that they are seeing if the tradional more 60's oldies format needs to be in place here in stead of a constant dose of 60's and 70's at almost equal levels. It may seem to me what works in OKC does not work in Jacksonville. You have to try diffrent apporachs at different things. That is my opinion.
