KOOL FM's 12 Days of Christmas

Hey at least Briggs found something creative to do. Play Christmas music for 12 days from December 13 to Christmas Day. Could we see a refreshed KOOL after Christmas? I hope so because if you listen to the commerical it sounds very well put together.

Your not really serious about a new Kool after Christmas are you?
C'mon ...how could a station that sounds worse than a college radio station all of the sudden pull their head out of there a@$*?#@ never happen

Come on Mburg, I know you and Briggs are email pen pals. The 12 days of Christmas was your idea wasn't it?

KOOL FM's 12 Days

Now, hang on, Soop- this brilliant move may finally take them into the Top 15!

(of course, if that happens, who's gonna keep WGNE company down in the lower tier of under 2 share stations).

I guess the thought of actually (hope you're sitting down) programming an exciting and solidly-produced Oldies station hasn't dawned on them yet.

(I know, I'm so bad)

What's creative about playing Christmas songs for 12 days? Any 3rd grader could come up with that one!

Unless there's divine intervention, KOOL will sound just as crappy after Xmas as they do now. Tom Murphy is the ONLY thing that's decent about 100.7. Oh, and the jingles are good. That's it.
Edited by motherscratcher on 12/07/05 06:18 PM.

Apparently you skipped third grade by looking at your spelling.

It is humorous (that's funny to you mother) that advertisers seem to be happy with the station. From my sources revenues have been up over 30% on a local level since August. Isn't that what really matters.

The so called radio heads on this forum might not like the way the station sounds but if it is increasing revenue on a monthly basis and incresing listeners,(though very very slowly) I imagine that TR and the sales reps at the station are fairly happy.

See that what I have been trying to tell them but it seem to me you and I only agree and the other could careless about that. I guarantee the station will be one of the top money revenue producers in the market for this year.

You're correcting MY spelling?? Take a look at how YOU spelled "increasing"! Also, you should have placed a comma after the first "very" in "very very".

One other note hot shot, if I would have "skipped 3rd grade", that would mean I was smarter than average, not dumber! But since you brought it up, before I went to college I did complete high school in 3 years instead of 4.

Also, the sales reps at Renda don't have to settle for "fairly happy". If they had something competitive to sell they would be "extremely happy". But since they don't they'll just have to remain...."fairly satisfied".

Merry Christmas.

Be careful, mburg! That wcrzx guy is on a spelling (and possibly grammer) rampage!! Head for the hills!

Nope that won't happen. That I do know. They have the potential to move up in overall billings but probably around 13th place at the most. The jump to top 10 would be impossible. Nice thought though.

By the way Gator has one book under its belt. Geez you would expect it to be number 1 straight out of the box.

No it just pisses the crap out of me that all the radio "experts" have nmothing better to do than bash Renda. Have they made mistakes with WKQL YES. will it ever be a top 5 station NO. Should it be a top 10 YES. All of the Monday morning quarterbacking is just funny. NOBODY on this board has any idea what goes on behind the doors of Renda. Everybody blames Briggs, dis you ever stop and wonder wheter he has any say as to what is played and not.

Renda does something very badly and some pretty well from what I understand. Gator will grow, will it happen overnight no but give it a few books and then we will see the true story.

GET A LIFE PEOPLE!

I have finished bitching for today!

KOOL FM's 12 Days

well, the "Rah Rah Renda" Fan Club (if I remember correctly) had both their new stations moving into "the top ten by the end of the year".

They've got 3 weeks to make a miracle happen.

Re: KOOL FM's 12 Days

Now for the bottom line Dandy Don! You can score a touch down and a two point conversion for Oldies Cat, and a missed field goal and squandered opportunity for wcrzxmburg! The clock is running down on the Fightin' Rendas! It will indeed take a December Miracle!

I call it as I see it!

Re: KOOL FM's 12 Days

KOOL's ratings may go up because of the Car-Tunes at 5 o'clock .... I actually heard a couple of real people call in and request a song. That's a step in the right direction, so lets not count them out just yet.

Arf also does a request show from 9a-10a.

Yeah, but all of the requests come from Briggs. Let's hear City Of New Orleans one more time!

KOOL FM

a) I really think (hope) you're kidding, HOWEVER

b) If you really, truly think any station's ratings will increase because of a 5pm
feature, you're sillier than we thought.
