KOOL gets middayer from Washington

94.5 KOOL FM in Phoenix today announced that Jeffrey T Mason has been named mid day host, beginning Monday, January 25. The show can be heard on-air weekdays from 10a-1p, online at www.koolradio.com and through mobile devices.

Mason most recently did mid days at country WMZQ/Washington D.C. Previously he worked at country station WKIS/Miami. He has also been with Top 40’s WIOQ/Philadelphia and WBZZ/Pittsburgh, as well as several stations in Chicago.

Maybe better said as "getting more mileage out of existing talent
by voicetracking elsewhere in the cluster."

Mason is the newly-arrived PM driver on KMLE.

Assume live on KMLE 2 PM-? (or even 1 PM-?) while he voicetracks
10 AM-1 PM on KOOL.

Perhaps now KOOL's AM and PM drivers will...may...be live for their
revised airtimes of 5-10 AM (Tom & Maria) and 1-6 PM (Goddard)?
Or will 9-10 AM and 1-2 PM (1-3?) still be tracked by the incumbents?

Closed circuit for the Stevemeister: while PM drive really should be
on--and live-- until 7, as long as we're stuck with the syndicated
evening jock starting at 6, how about staying on until 6--kissing off
your show about 5:57 instead of ducking out before the last stopset
and then we hear the syndie guy pop up at nearly 10 before 6. :

With the addition of the new midday guy, did Goddard's shift get extended/shifted to end at 7pm? I thought I heard a Goddard break at 6:30 earlier this week. I guess this means Tom Kent is now 7pm to Midnight?
