KOOL Seventies Sunday

Similar to the Cloud 95 Seventies Saturday on KMXZ-FM Tucson,
there is now a Seventies Sunday on KOOL-FM.

While PD Kris Abrams' decision to drop live and local on Saturday
mornings in favor of syndication (just because Liz is leaving?)
was a dumb move, this one is a good idea. Nice going here, Kris,
now fix your goof on Saturdays. :

If nothing else, a Seventies Sunday means a whole day of not
having to hear, for the 8000th time...

Yesss, I'm really enjoying it too. Before it first started, I was afraid it would be too much like the Saturday Night Dance Party, but I was wrong.. and it sure is nice to hear Jackson Browne, Bob Seger, Steely Dan, and definitely McCartney.. etc.

As for Saturday mornings, I've gotten to the point where I can not listen to Inside the 60's for the 50th time. Is it just me or are they all repeats? I think I pretty much have the different beer companies, car advertisements, and the Marvin Gaye-Star Trek computer bit memorize by heart...

The song selection is perfect for KOOL. Seems like a lot of the songs are on the KOOL playlist already, so no big shake-up.

You're right, Oldies Fan. I'm glad they're giving some of those overplayed songs a rest.

Glad they've kept the disco show.
