3 yrs into the new leadership era and besides painting the walls and hiring 73 different department heads (the poor employees see more change in a week than homeless dude at 75th ave & the I-10 does in a yr)...nothing is going right

kool is now 16th 25-54. that is WORSE than when kool played Christmas music starting on labor day 6 yrs ago.

kmle is now "the new kmle @ 1079". channeling jerry clifton ("party radio @ 1039"). seriously????? what's next? bong giveaways?

definition of IRONY: jamz was born to SINK riviera bcasting. it did. now it's the only thing keeping someone's career afloat.

Some interesting numbers there. Is it still "new" leadership after 3 years? Is that a short period of time for leadership over at CBS?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the 73 department heads number is facetious, but is the turnover in department heads worse than other non-CBS places?

And that KOOL 25-54 number...is that a weekly? Or is it a consistent monthly number and do you really want to bring back the Christmas music?

Enough with the questions. I actually get what the "new" KMLE is doing. For at least the last few years, KMLE and KNIX were virtually indistinguishable. Same music, similar presentation, and Tim & Willie in the Morning. In a way, what KMLE has done is not channel Clifton, but return to their roots. KMLE was at it's best when it was the upstart, rebellious station that didn't play the country music your dad listened to. To throw in a metaphor, KNIX was the station you took home to meet your parents. KMLE was the station you hooked up with at the bar. They've kinda gone back to that.

As far as 101.5 goes, yeah...they're doing pretty good. I'd be surprised to learn that the billing was keeping anything afloat, but if the "new" leadership over there manages to turn those ratings into revenue, then yeah...that would keep a lot of things floating.

Jamz and KKFR are within a half share of each other. KKFR up about 35% in demo to a year ago and Jamz or Live or whatever they are this week is down. Stop looking at 6+ - since it includes 6-17 which is where the majority of the 101.5 audience is.

25-54

KMLE 13th (KNIX is 8th)
KZON 14th (KZZP is tied for 1st)
KOOL 16th

That's why you don't look at 6+

Sandusky also with challenges

KUPD is 17th and KDKB 19th

The Towers/Northern stations are holding their own in demo

You have to consider KKFR is tied with KDKB and the former doesn't even target the demo

KMVA, KVIB, and KAJM are all over a 2.0 share in 25-54 - a lot of stations on South Mountain fighting to be a 3.0.

Problem with the new KMLE, they are playing crap that no one wants to hear. Most of the country fans I know want to hear what's popular (the hits & songs they are familiar with)

I guess we'll see how long this lasts?

Same problem with the polls that TV stations report on. Not enough information. The numbers above (KMLE 13/KZON 14/KOOL 16) are for what time period?

It could be the data quoted above is from the recently released November 2012 PPM ratings (covering Thu. 10/11/12-Wed. 11/7/12) - Persons age 25-54 Monday-Sunday 6am-Midnight. (Or October 2012 - Radioresearcher could clarify.)
