KORB Hopland

Broken.FM, aka KORB in Hopland along with four Ukiah-Santa Rosa area translators sold for $295K back in April. (Two of the translators are in the commercial band). June 1 will be the last broadcast day. The station will switch to a Christian talk format called "KFAITH".

The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat ran a story about the change .. (Article Here):

(An https URL behind a paywall)

As an aside, the Press-Democrat has solid coverage of the radio broadcast industry in that region. Their stories are well-developed; it seems their writers do their research. Indeed the article states "Nine years ago, Leitch moved into television. He bought a full power TV station licensed to Fort Bragg in 2018, called KQSL, that is currently broadcasting from Sutro Tower in San Francisco and Sonoma Mountain and is available on cable in north Sonoma County from Windsor to Cloverdale, Mendocino County, Lake County, San Francisco and throughout Northern California from Redding to San Jose." The Sutro TV station would be KQSL-LD San Rafael, a 3kw ERP on Channel 4, running in ATSC-1 (I assume). Given it's on Channel 4 I suspect over-the-air reception would be challenging but that group also runs KQSL-DT Channel 8 in Fort Bragg with a second site southeast of Cloverdale.
