A post at TVSpy reports that Tracy Kornet will leave ABC-15 for an evening anchor spot in Dallas. It was reported that Wednesday (09/13) would be her last day, however a subsequent post stated that she was asked to leave the station immediately.

Why do rats and a sinking ship come to mind?
Hmmm, in a little over a year ABC 15 has had their GM go, their ND go, producers go, and now anchors. Hey, maybe things are improving over there ! ;D
Actually, I don't think Kornet was all that bad at what she did. Maybe 15 should have given her a shot at evening anchor here. It couldn't have hurt and might have helped.

I watched the opening of today's show (09/12) and Katie Raml was subbing for "Tracy who is off this week" as intro'd by Kaley O'Kelley. Katie made some sad story about forgetting how much traffic there was at this time of day since she goes to work at 1-2pm and goes home at 11pm. ABC-15 then displayed a "Previously recorded" tag. Now, did they film this on Monday afternoon after they knew that Tracy was gone or is this a repeat of an earlier show?
Very interesting. I like Tracy and think she is a pro, even though I criticized her on this forum for not doing the 5:00 hour of ABC Daybreak. I think she will do good work in primetime.
I went to Sonoran Living Live webpage and her picture/bio is still there. By the way, it is a cool website. There is an option to watch any program up to a week ago. I clicked on today's (12 Sept) show and saw the Kaley/Katie intro. I went to yesterday's (11 Sept) and Tracy and Kaley were together, but that could have been taped last week.

I wonder if Tracy got some type of sendoff. I tried going on ABC15.com or Sonoran Living.com and both are down. Kind of unprofessional to have your website down for more than 6 hours.

Hi i was recently searching information about our new news channel here in Dallas and it seems like Tracy Kornet was pretty popular back in AZ, so far the news has only been on TXA 21 since this monday and so far shes doing pretty well

Thanks for the clip. Just wanted to clarify that some people on this board like Tracy. However, she was on the lowest rated news station (ABC15) in Phoenix and we have 5 stations with FULL news departments here.
While she did a credible job, she anchored an hour of the morning news and Sonoran Living (which is one of the local shows with a lot of paid advertising similar to WFAA's revamped GMT). So, it wasn't a heavy news assignment.
