KOTM Now Known As "TOM-FM"

anymore changes to come, KOTM now playing Cardinals baseball, and now they're new slogan is TOM-FM doesn't appear to have any new jocks (shame!)

What an absolute train wreck that station has been since the early 90's. Put it out of it's misery....please.

Train wreck indeed! And usually when something like this is done, you want to try new things, fresh shows and such, but listening today everything appears to be the same except for the new station imaging indicating "tom-fm", same boring morning program, (of all things thats what needs changed the most!) and why you would put st louis cards baseball on a music station I have now idea? a few changes were made: yes the right changes: NO. plus the night jock is lame, takes alot of talent to say "got a request email it to me..." lets try a morning show and some fresh air talent, that would be nice.

This cracks me up! [EDIT] What else do you possibly have to complain about, the music is completely up to date in fact I've had several people say that they now have switched back to TOM-FM (KOTM) because we are now more rythmic and current in the day than Kiss in Des Moines because of our improved signal and much better music. Yes for awhile there were some problems with Rick Dees and OHP but all that has been ironed out. And I've decided to move Rick Dees 8am-Noon Saturday. And finally what has been said about me...I find it absolutely amusing that you say I completely "suck" lmao. I find it hilarious since I have been told more than once that the best thing KLEE-KOTM Radio has ever done was hire me. [EDIT] That's all I have to say. ;D

I wouldn't say train wreck the music is better then what it has been in awhile. Not sure why it's said "kotm" has improved signal, its been 19,000w for awhile now. The only things I don't like about "kotm" is the Cardinal Baseball Broadcasts and the Morning Program could be improved.

The Music being a little better doesn't make up for the lack of air talent; infact the only person I don't mind listening to is steve palen. I remember back in the day it was "Steve and Tom In Morning" always laughed my as* off, then it became Tom And Tabitha, alright but the program became shorter and less entertaining, now the morning show just plain SUCKS, only lasting about hour if even that and it's rather boring. You guys really need to get a new Morning program put together. Im listening to Kiss right now, know why? They're actually playing music and not a dam* baseball game!

What good does it do to make such programming decisions as to move to Dees back when no one really cares anyway?
And speaking as someone who has worked at KOTM (when it was a strong CHR)... I have personally worked with some of the best air talents that station has had. You have a hunger Shuyler- and that's good. But you have no CLUE. You need a strong Program Director to coach you.
And when you say that you have been told more than once that the best thing KLEE-KOTM Radio has ever done was to hire you.... it doesn't count because your mommy is genetically programmed to say things to make you feel better about yourself.
Look... I hate what has happned to the station- because I poured a lot of my heart and soul into it. But radio has changed and I really do think the best thing to do would be to just put a syndicated morning show on, keep Steve Palen on 10am-3p and then syndicate the rest. It's sad, but it's the only way to salvage the whole thing. It would definitly generate more hype than slapping a new name on it and not changing much else. When you re-image yourself you need to REVAMP your station. Why bother with a new name when everything else is OLD?
Sorry, guy- but there's just SO MUCH MORE to programming a station than making the BIG decision to move DEES to a new time and there just SO MUCY more to being on the air than saying, "That was, This is... and if you have a request, EMAIL it to me..."
Keep trying though--- the music does sound a LITTLE better. Music is in a HUGE slump right now and you gotta work with what yuo have.

The Only Decent Programming on this station is Open House Party, that Morning show is just terrible, whoever this new Judy person is on the morning program, awfull, just put us out of our misery and pick up a syndicated show, such as Kidd Kraddick
