I ENJOYED LISTENING TO THE KC SHOW HE WAS ENTERTAINING THE SHOW WAS FUNNY WITH GOOD MUSIC. HE WAS WITH KOTM FOR A WHILE AT LEAST 2 YEARS. HIS REPLACEMENT IS SKYLAR BLACK WHO WAS THE OVERNIGHT GUY FOR A FEW MONTHS I BELIEVE, AND HE ISN'T TOO BAD. KINDA FUNNY AND I LIKE HOW HE ALSO DOES THE MOST REQUESTED SONG OF THE NIGHT JUST BEFORE HE WRAPS UP JUST LIKE CROWDER. ALSO THEY HAVE OHP WHICH IN MY OPINION HELPS THEIR RATINGS EMENSLY. BY THE WAY WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH THE 80'S LUNCH STEVE PALEN USED TO DO IT BUT HASN'T FOR LIKE OVER A MONTH.
 
Yeah he is on a long vacation i guess...they have some chick doing now....what do ya think of her?
 
Well i don't know where to begin. I guess the kc radio show. Wasn't the best in the world, but I would have to say this kc guy was the most decent night jock that kotm has had in a long time. It was entertaining and a blast to listen to, such britneys having a break down, and the telemarketer gag...this new guy "skyler back show" in a word "sucks" he tries to immitate both kc and edwin brand from kmgo. The nights are now a complete joke, i want the kc radio show back! much better then this. Secondly open house party was brought up....ha ha ha...make me laugh, it hardly ever runs correctly always on dead air during the show, or the show would skip, what a joke. Also rick dees top 40 doesn't run right alot. Finally the morning programming on kotm....This tabitha gal what a complete joke she absolutely sucks and doesn't belong on the air.......this morning program hardly lasts an hour and puts you to sleep. You never know who the regular dj is for any shift. Who ever took over the pd position here needs to get their head out of their ass and be fired. this station is a joke all the way around. Its a new morning show, new pd who can run a station worth a damn, get rid of this skyler person, and get a decent night jock again.
 
This is Mitch Collins just a radio fan. So who is "seiowaradio"? He/She seems to know a little more than the average listener
 
Just moved back to the area, what has happened to this station? When did kc depart (this being a palen station im surprised he stayed as long as he did) secondly, the morning program has really fallen off, lasting sometimes not even an hour and you dont ever know who will host the show either. Ive heard rumor that one of tom palens sisters is back in the picture as well is this true? This station really needs to step up its program, or its going lose what remaing audience they have if any. :eek:
 
When B-100 signed on, everyone who listened to KOTM in Fairfield switched over. Better and newer music, better sound quality were the reasons. Not to mention a somewhat better signal in most of town.
 
I wish there was second choice of a chr station in ottumwa radio, kkdm only comes in every once in awhile. I must say not that it was ever out of this world, but kotm has really fallen off the pace. You clearly hear that they can't or just plain won't keep up with newer music....for crying outload, daughtry feels like tonight still rotating pretty heavely, and im sorry this skyler person is really hurting the nights, does not belong on-air at all, at times it seems he's screaming into the mic, its also pretty clear to notice they don't have that many advertisers either, of course you have a product worth buying and they dont with the boring morning show, frequent dead air time, and a less then average night jock....
