KOVR to launch a new primetime newscast on KMAX

Once CW moves to KQCA on September 1, KMAX is launching a new primetime newscast at 8PM. I put some throwback clips about their previous 9pm newscast in the 90s after I saw an ad for their upcoming newscast on PlutoTV.

We could use prime time news here, San Francisco has had it for a while. Glad 31 is doing that instead of more sitcom reruns with logo bugs on the screen (they went for about 13 years with no local station bug and had the most bug-free HD programming for a long time, but they added one a couple years ago.)

Looks like the news here will be just ONE hour from 8 to 9, the 9 to 10 hour will be filled with two MORE reruns of Family Feud with the new, even more annoying than before colored logo bug. This is essentially a throwaway station now. Too bad it won’t be sold to anyone who would program it creatively and have some respect for the content.

I would've been better if EW Scripps makes duopolies in the Seattle and Sacramento markets. KSTW dropped local news again as a result of this affliation switch.
