The KSFX calls eventually found their way to Roswell, NM, and I understand the former KDEB 27 had to pay them to get the rights to use KSFX-TV. Roswell's classic rock station is still KSFX "100.5 The Fox."
I have to wonder if the KOZL branding was a very good decision on Nexstar's part. After all, Ozarks Public Television is KOZK in Springfield and KOZJ in Joplin. I can't imagine they're too happy about 27 getting calls so close to theirs.
While I don't see KOZL catching fire with the viewers and going nationwide, I suspect it will make money simply because so much of the schedule is paid programming. I also suspect many of the businesses and attractions featured in Tom Trtan's 4 PM show will be paying for that airtime.
