Why? Were you the purchaser of the plot?
No. It means we have money in the bank to keep operating. Joel Osteen won't be buying us out anytime soon.
Because the fact is you can't depend on the folks in Berkeley to bail you out.
Say what you want about Joel Osteen, but he's great at selling his brand. I highly doubt he needs or wants a radio station at this point in his career.

Recently received word that KPFT is totally gone/vacated. Satellite programming is on 90.1 and the local phone number redirects to New York.
KPFT's community advisory board has a town hall meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

Wonder where they'll meet. From what I read their studio building is abandoned.
The meeting will be on Zoom.
It may be a virtual meeting.
I think kpft, as we know it, may be done. This may be the start of the station going 100% satellite fed.
The Pacifica Foundation did that with WBAI a few years ago, and employees rebelled.
