KPIX aircheck 1977

Also in this clip Harold Greene who was best known for his time as a Los Angeles and San Diego news anchor is featured here reading the Headlines for KPIX-TV at sign off.

Found that tape in a cluttered junk shop outside Red Bluff. All the tapes included stuff related to Bing Crosby, this was after an airing of the movie Here Come the Waves. Sadly a lot of stuff had the commercials cut out, including a KTVU Dialing for Dollars movie that still shows the Count and Amount onscreen (and was cut for time to make room for the game segments!) but this was in the middle of the night and recorded with a timer. CBS's yearly showings of Charlie Brown Christmas and Twas the Night Before Christmas aired in prime time that night, along with Maude and Switch.
