KPLX & KZMP heard in southern Lavaca county last night!

What a tripo last night, first time I picked up KPLX & KZMP down there KPLX was a 227 mile tripo and KZMP was a 295 mile skip, they were very clear, I have my antenna about 20-23' up in the air pointed to Houston. I have always been amazed at that antenna ever since I got one outside.

I have the radioshacks 12 element antenna, its about 20' up. I can pull in stuff all the way to Lake charles with that thing under normal conditions..... But its mostly flat lands from there to Lake charles.

There is a tropo predictor on the Internet. Sorry, I don't have the link in this computer, but a quick Google search will find it. It is rated from zero to ten. Zero is no tropo; all is as it is supposed to be. Ten is "The Aliens Have Landed And Are Eating Your Children." Parts of last week in Texas were a "9". Reception was really weird last week. This week it is much more moderate, peaking at a "5" or "6."
