KPNT post Howard Stern

So Howard makes his move to Sirius in less than 6 months. His morning #'s are better than any other daypart KPNT has the rest of day. I believe the format will remain the same because of strategic reasons with the other two Emmis rock stations in town (KSHE and K-Hits). The question is who will hold down mornings and bring the #'s? Rumors going around have Mancow from Emmis's Q101 Chicago, or the former (fired) KPNT afternoon team of Woody and Whipping Boy who ironically also work at Q101 in Chicago getting the nod. It's got to be a tough fill for any jock to come in as the guy who replaces Howard Stern. Any guesses?

Woody and Whipping Boy are back

I hear from a close friend of mine at Emmis that it's official. Woody and Whipping Boy will take over mornings at The Point when Howard Stern leaves for Sirius. In the meantime, starting sometime this summer, they will have them on the point, in various dayparts to promote the move. They have been working for Emmis in afternoons at Q101 in Chicago. I looked at the Q101 website and see that Whipping Boy is now "Tony" and that they also have a girl on the show with them named Ravie. Woody and "Tony" had big ratings together, will they keep this Ravie girl with them? Who knows. But take it to the bank.....this is what happens after Howard on The Point.
