KPNX, NBC and their 'Live' Olympics Coverage

In this world of instant communications, must we rely upon an archaic network of time delay for Olympic sports programing . . . just because we are not in the privileged Eastern-Central Time Zones? What gets me further is that I received a Channel 12 alert from KPNX/azcentral telling me to tune in this evening for LIVE coverage of the swimming events! I know NBC paid a billion-bucks for the coverage and imposes stuff on Channel 12 . . . but does KPNX really think the PHX area viewers are that gullible?

OK . . . I'm good . . . rant done . . . I know nothing will change . . . but rant done!

Here's an excerpt from the Email I received:

Your rant aside - KPNX covered the "LIVE" delay in their newscast last night.

If a two-hour delay in watching a sporting event is enough to get us hot under the collar, then I'd say life's good.
