KPNX/SNL

If someone that works for KPNX could answer me, I'd be really happy. ;D

For years, KPNX has screwed up the broadcast of SNL...which nobody talks about! It's like the imbecile whose job it is, is beyond reproach.

But tonight, you missed THREE SNL skits...and replaced them with the same Cooney & Curtis promo that you replayed 3 times in a row.

Please explain why this is acceptable. And don't tell me it's an East coast/West coast thing, because you can go online & see what we legitimately missed.

Thanks. (for nothing.)

I would really like to know the answer as well. I've noticed a number of problems during SNL -- particularly with distorted sound. I've lived in the Cental and Eastern time zone, where SNL is aired live, and there are no sound issues. What's up, KPNX?

I take it these are the side effects of centralcasting. Just like the stations that are using automated cameras for their newscasts (you know who I'm talking about). Quality control has taken a back seat to the bottom line.

Quality control lost it's office and desk, never mind taking the back seat. They used to tell it like it is.

I finally watched the Tina Fey (7 May 2011) episode on DVR. Afterwards I went on Hulu and watched it. I found 2 skits at the end that weren't played in Phoenix: prom clothing and a very funny Hallmark Mother Day commercial. However, KPNX played the Bravo pregnant Diva skit twice.

So what's the consensus--is KPNX censoring parts of the show or is it a
glitch in their net delay playback server?

Or are they delaying the Mountain Time Zone feed at 9:29 instead of the
live show at 8:29, and it's a network glitch on the Mountain zone feed?

I've always wondered whether the "recorded from an earlier live telecast"
font over the open was done by the network or KPNX.

At the least, it may be KPNX delaying an earlier feed, whether Eastern or Mountain. If it was a glitch on a live Mountain feed, has anyone in a Mountain Daylight state noticed anything funny?

Then again, since KPNX was showing the same lawyer commercial over and over again, it might be a glitch at their own end.

I'm very certain that Pacific Time viewers see some sort of disclaimer before SNL, but I'm not sure if NBC does the same for Mountain viewers, or if the stations must do it themselves.

It's definitely either the ET/CT feed (live show) or the MT feed, as the left coast feed
isn't until 11:29 PT.
