KPNX vs DirectTV

KPNX posted on their Facebook page:
A message for DirecTV customers:

If no deal is reached by midnight on November 30, DirecTV customers could lose 12 News. That would mean losing some of your favorite programming including “The Voice”, Sunday Night Football, “Parenthood” and “Saturday Night Live” and your local 12 News news, weather and sports.

12 does not have one single program among my favs. It is even more irrelevant than The CW.

I watch 5 and 3 (and sometimes 10) for local news. 12 has Sunday night football games. I only watch one hour of 15 per week, if that. Surprisingly enough, KAZT gets some of my viewership (but not for the daytime trash talk though). It wouldn't bother me if 12 or 15 was dropped by my provider. I could always grab some rabbit ears for the football and watch "Shark Tank" on Hulu Plus.

But doesn't 12 stand for local news? :D

I watch 10 for local news. Even though they tend to repeat themselves 3 or 4 times per day. ;D

Been on the antenna for over 3 years now. Well, an antenna and the Internet. :D

Same here. I should say "An antenna, the interwebs+Roku box, and a good sports bar are your friends." ;D

When I first moved here in 2004, I used to watch 12 News religiously. Now, I primarily watch 3 for mornings and weenights and 10 on weekend evernings.

Out of the 5 local stations (sorry AZ13) 12News is the only one that I haven't given any serious TV time. I used to rotate every couple of months just to see how the channel approached the news. I was a fan of their Sunday morning program with Squareoff, but stopped watching when Rick DeBruhl left. I loved the Basement Tapes segment.

I wish the hell Mark Curtis would learn how to pronounce "Arizona".

It's AIR-i-zona, not AR-i-zona (like a pirate would have pronounced it).

He's a sports guy. What do you expect?

Does he say Nev-AHH-da, too?

I think their engineering or some department was having some issues last night too. First 30 Rock was on, then they replayed it again after it had already finished, pre-empting "Up All Night" for a few minutes. Someone caught it, then abruptly cut to "Up All Night" to schedule.
