KPRC changes

The big question remains: Will Frank and Radar The Weather Dog still have a home on 2??
Radar has been dramatically minimized. He no longer appears at the news desk ... just for the "Dog-walking Forecast" at the end of the 6 and 10 shows. Frank's safe. They have no bench strength to replace him, even if they wanted.

Franks the only watchible dog at ch 2.I think if they were smart, they'd expand his presence, give him a restaurant report and a feel-good "angels" segment, like they've done with marvin z over on 13. Sure, marvins old, but he still pulls alot of cool tricks

The changes won't help. Post-Newsweek needs to dump the "fast-paced, in your face" style of news. It's content, not flash-n-flare, that people want to see. Also, a little stability is nice, too. That's why 13 is the top dog. KPRC is a revolving door of talent. It's not the talent that is the problem, it is the presentation. To me, they are unwatchable. I'd like to sit down with Ron Stone sometime and hear what he has to say, because when the Hobby family owned KPRC, and Stone was the main anchor, no one could touch KPRC. Now they are a solid #4 (behind 13, 11, & 26). It's really sad. <P ID="signature">______________

Is Khambrel gone? I saw a new guy on at 4pm yesterday; the promo before the newscast said "Owen Conflenti and Linda Lorelle at 4pm" - then this morning just before Today - again, there's Owen...
Wonder if it's testing him out or if changes are afoot.
Also, noticed 2's IDing itself as "KPRC Local 2" vs. just "Local 2". Again makes you wonder if the "Local" may have "short timers" syndrome...
