Any idea what KPTK is going to do with Al Franken's slot in the lineup after his last show today? They asked for listeners' input and I suggested live and local. Knowing there is no way in hell. Too expensive & they aren't equipped. Their website indicates that perhaps they're moving Randi Rhodes back up to the earlier slot & plugging in Mike Malloy later in the evening. Suppose this is the long-term strategy or a short-term "fix" while they work on something permanent?
What will this do to their listenership? Seems like with the biggest, possibly most important presidential election in our lifetime coming in 2008 they should be poised for very impressive rating increases. Liberal talk in Seattle- what could be more fitting? But with the constant changes & fluctuations at Air America is it going to work?
