KPUT Provo

Strange they might have existed but I can’t seem to find any digital foot print of them. No social media assets . Understanding the dynamics of a city like Provo and the Mormon influence will be very interesting. The goal is to be super hyper local ,

Will be launching this week, With local talents and all . I’ve been considering a national syndicated show but I keep hearing it’s pretty conservative down here .

La Mejor
from radio insight

Im seeing another station KDYL using that name on its SLC signal are these two related. I see KDYL is 10k watts but can Provo pick it up now?

According to

KDYL was purchased by the same Christian group that owns KWLO 1580 kHz in the same area and that group took KDYL noncommercial. My guess is that KDYL is now running KWLO's spanish religious programming and that the owner of KPUT (sorry I forgot your on-site nomenclature) need not fear anything from using the "La Mejor" format.

As to KDYL's coverage, I have been through the area several times, the last time being in the early 1990s. The daytime signal made it down to Provo okay (it wasn't excellent but you could hear it) but the nighttime signal could only be heard in Salt Lake City proper. (It had to protect both what is now KDUS south of it in Tempe, AZ, and the now-defunct CKMX in Calgary north of it as well as the Philadelphia and New Orleans signals much farther to the east.)
