Was this post really necessary, as it contributes absolutely nothing to what we already know?

Jason, please have something to say when you post.
______________

I was telling that i really like the show

Sorry

I was listening to KROQ today and they were playing some alternative rock. Then I flipped over to KZLA and they were playing country.

I'm just curious. Why is this post worse than "One year later and Jack is still going strong" - which is a post you replied to below without criticism? We already know Jack is still on the air and can view its ratings online. I'm simply trying to get a feel for what's acceptable and not acceptable on this board. Thanks.

Although it may not have been obvious, the post about Jack was on the precise one-year anniversary of its debut and was designed to spark discussion on how the station has done.

OTOH, Power 106 has been on the air for years, and the Old School Show is no longer the innovation it was when it started. Jason has a history of posting at random just because he likes something, but his posts rarely contain anything that would spark a discussion.

Had the Old School Show done something out of the ordinary, or if it was relatively new and still open to critique, that would have been different. If you do a search on Jason's username and check his post history, you will find that the vast majority of his posts are just "I'm posting because I like this station" and not really a discussion of anything.

I have a suspicion that he is very young, and obviously not in the business.
______________

Interesting that Jason didn't note that KBIG is running a Disco Mix Weekend. I thought he'd be promoting the hell out of a CC station(he's done it before.) HMMMMMM.

Friday and Saturday nights.
I have the jingles from Jams.

You mean you didn't know?
(must have been sarcasm?)

Sarcasm it was! I was a personality on KBIG for the last 6 years until they played funny with my contract. And actually the dance music is now on every night. I hosted Disco Saturday Night and Boogie Nights.
______________

Ah.

I guess that shows how little I know!
I used to listen to that show in San Diego back in '03 (I had to listen in my car to hear it of course). Sorry to hear about your contract probs, I hope things are looking up.

70's and 80's dance music is some of my favorite stuff!
