With a 2.8 and the weak demos that go with it, Power needs to do something different.

That's what this thread is about...they're doing something different, and people who don't listen to this format or station think it's a bad idea. But the 2.8 you mentioned came specifically because of the loss of Big Boy. This rotation is to do something different. From what I see in their social media, the P1s are not complaining about the music.

"Often" is the #1 most played song on Power at the moment and it has spun 123x this week alone according to the playlist extracted from allaccess. Power 106's #1 song is usually spun 100+ times a week, so it's the norm for Power to play the No. 1 most played record every 10 minutes. I've known that about Power's playlist a longtime ago. If the people want to hear that song Power will run that to the ground.
