KPWR plays a new Stevie B tune on it's Aqua Net Set!

It's called Guess who's back or I'm back or something like that, but Jeff G and DJ Rawn have given it a couple of spins on the Aqua Net Set(normally a classic dance mix hour of the Old Skool Show@noon done every friday.)

Those of you in LA/OC should call Jeff and Rawn and tell them hey we like it that you're spinning new Stevie B how about spinning more new stuff that could be future classics?

Jeff G and DJ Rawn are just one of the reasons why I do see the possibility of a HD 2nd Channel from KPWR devoted to dance. The others are Richard Humpty Vission, DJ Enrie, Tony B, and Swedish Eagle. All 4 work for KPWR and 3 of the 4 are on Powertools.

Unless he's released more than one new song, I think the song you heard is "Old School Party".

About a month and a half ago, KAJM (Mega 104.3/99.3) here in Phoenix was one of the sponsors of a concert featuring Stevie B (along with Cover Girls, Cynthia, Debbie Deb, Expose, Lisa Lisa, Nice & Wild, Shannon, Sugar Hill Gang, and Vaughn Mason & Crew). I had the pleasure of attending that show, and watching Stevie B perform that song. At that time, KAJM had "Old School Party" in rotation (although I'm not sure how much).

BTW: KAJM's format is Rhythmic Oldies. It's my favorite station, mostly because they play so many songs that you just don't expect to hear on the radio anymore, including a lot of freestyle.

Some songs in rotation include...

Shana - I Want You
Adventures of Stevie V - Dirty Cash
Stacey Q - Two of Hearts
Michael Jackson - Remember the Time
Eddie Murphy - Party All The Time
Jaya - If You Leave Me Now

About a week or so ago, I even heard "3-2-1 Pump" by Redhead Kingpin and the F.B.I.(?) -- I don't think I had heard that song on the radio since it was played as a current hit by KKFR (Power 92) and KOY-FM (Y-95) back in the day!

Also, KAJM and KNRJ (Energy 92.7/101.1) are sister stations -- both are owned by Sierra H.

OK, I just noticed an entire thread about this concert further on down the board :)

Yeah that's the song he is pushing to radio and performing at concerts. He has an album ready but apparently working on distribution now. So not yet available, although he sells them at his concerts.
