KPXJ-DT Minden/Shreveport Coming Soon

KTBS news reported this morning (9/20) that KPXJ-DT UPN-21 will go live at midnight tonight with their digital signal on channel 21 from their new transmitter in Moringsport. Their predicted coverage will be similar to KTBS-DT. KPXJ will cease analog broadcasting and be one of the few stations in the nation to to go exclusively digital.
 
it must had happened sometime this morning cuz it's gone off my cable system as I'm sure they haven't upgraded to a digital antenna yet

KPXJ-DT is currently live with two channels - KPXJ-HD on 21-1 and KPXJ-DT on channel 21-2. Both appear to be carrying the same programming.

During the report on KTBS on 9/20, they said that they would be providing digital tuners to the local cable companies so they could continue to carry KPXJ.

You may want to ping you cable company and ask where them where KPXJ is. They may not be aware that the analog signal is gone.
 
KPXJ 21 showed up as "21-1" during a scan this morning (8:30am CDT) that included some Houston stations being DX'd. In the moment of DXing Houston DTV, forgot about this station until searching calls. Have received the analog UPN 21 previously up here (Lincoln County, Ark) during tropo. no wonder, I was not getting analog co-channel from it when getting KOZK earlier this morning

KPXJ and KTBS are the strongest digitals in Shreveport currently.
