KPXR returns to country

Why did they have to change their calls to something COMPLETELY different - KIIX? Why not bring back the old KIXZ calls and call it a day.

I suspect CC changed the calls because they wanted to clear the association with KIXZ and country, but that didn't help the ratings. Now, the KIXZ calls belong to an AM radio station in Texas. I don't remember that station's exact history, but my guess is when CC bought that station, it was already KIXZ. Then CC put it on the unrelated fm, but sold the AM.
