KQBZ Morning Radio is going to be listenable VERY SOON

At least for a while, KQBZ will have a decent morning program.

They haven't had a decent morning show since Mark & Brian. Are Robin & Maynard going to be out of the picture soon?
______________

Did you post this on another site?

I believe Robin is having knee surgery.

Since it was revealed in another thread that KISW was searching for a morning show producer - ending speculation that they were going to pick up Howard Stern's "replacement" David Lee Roth - could this show end up on the Buzz?

Or maybe they would pick up Adam Carolla (who I think is funnier than $#!+) and the West Coast feed?

Hell, I think white noise on the Buzz would be better than R&M. A pity that mornings should be their sole unlistenable daypart.

I hardly call somebody going on vacation to get their knee operated on, out of the picture. And if Mark & Brian are your high water mark for good radio then we all can thank our lucky stars you aren't making the programming decisions.

It remains to be seen what kind of show Adam Carola is going to pump out, but I would give him a listen in the mornings based on his prior body of work. The Man Show was awesome television and hit at a time when young guys were looking for exactly what it was they provided. If his radio show is half as good he will have to beat off requests for the show.

I would argue that Kimmel was the true talent behind the man show. If Adam was so talented, he could have probably landed the late night show on ABC as well as writing for some of the newer comedies that we are seeing on TV. I watched about 15 minutes of his show on CC tonight and wasn't all that impressed. Granted its the first episode, but I can't imagine a lengthy career in radio based on the content tonight.

I was merely asking a question and offering my own opinion. I'm back to lurking for awhile.
______________

Granted Kimmel was and is a great comedy talent, but I am not sure that would be the case given a straight radio career. Carola has done very well with Love Line and I think that experience will provide him a good foundation.

I don't think you can be objective or predict how a person will do in radio based on what they are doing on television.

We will see I guess very soon
