Hi,

I don't think that 'richest' has anything to do with it. Think how many times 'Mister Rogers Neighborhood' has been bought and paid for. Extra channels are part of the sub-channel broadcast on the HD signal.

Look at what, say, Discovery has done. They have five or six different specialty cahnnels on my cable system (Health, Times, Science, Kids, Military). HBO gives me 12 different feeds. And one of the locals down here in LA has a main plus three sub-channels.

The extra channels come with the technology, not big bucks.

John
