All Access is reporting that Dan Michaels, PD of Entercom's KQMT, 99.5 The Mountain has resigned and is looking for his next gig.

Could the Mountain's days be numbered?

Nope. New PD to be announced tomorrow, by the fattest of fat cats at Entercom.

hmm..makes you wonder. Michaels resigns this morning (per R&R and All
Access); same reports say a new PD will be announced in morning. Yet an
ad runs on All Access looking for a new PD for the station.

Unless the new PD hire is "temporary", it almost looks like Entercom is doing
their EOE compliance in a "hurried" state...advertising the position and
announcing a winner in 24 hours...

Just speculating, nothing more...

Great station. Got relatives in Denver so I 'll tune in to The Mountain whenever I'm in town for a visit. Very old school AOR. Little too music intensive from the jocks. Imaging is somewhat bland & dry but I respect what they are doing . Overall its a good product. How are KQMT #s ?

Lousy! For being a good station as you put it their ratings are in the bottom barrel.. ie 0.3 rating.. it is doing as worse as the old 92.5 did!
so i hope entercom can do something to raise the ratings up for that station.

Their 12-plus numbers have not been so great lately, but before people assume a flip is imminent it is worth considering that stations like KQMT frequently do better in their target demos than the 12+ would seem to indicate. Also AAA stations and classic rock stations with a AAA lean attract a high-income demo, thus billing quite well, even with lower overall audience share.

Try a 2.6 12+ (better than 92.5) And they're doing even better 25-54! But other than that, very good point Radio12!!

And their 12 plus numbers have been steady mid to upper 2's for a year! Where do you people get your information!? Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong station. No, I'm not.

Sometimes we wonder what planet Radioman calls home.

Anybody with a egocentric signature on an internet discussion board deserves to be ridiculed.

Couldn't agree more. Very old school AOR - I like that a lot.
Imaging is a little over-dramatic. Can't tell much #-wise
with 12+...But they can't be doing too bad 25-54...
