KQNM 1550 10,000 WATTS CP

Is KQNM 1550 at 10,000 watts with their new CP? Have picked them up at critical hours a few times in recent weeks in Arizona, fading in and out w/ daytimer 1550 KUAZ Tucson. Are they at 10,000 watts yet operating on their CP, or just some good catches w/ 5,000 watts?

Re: KQNM 1550 10,000 WATTS FCC Construction Permit

BTW, has KQNM 1550 ever won any awards ?

The station has the best A/C music selection of any A/C station I've ever heard (I listen on-line). ABC news a big plus, station is nearly an AM full service station.

Certainly a lot better than Yavapai Broadcasting's "Sunny 100" from the dumpy Cottonwood Valley, Arizona that we have to put up with, w/ annoying voicetracked local DJ's, and the always pessimistic John Tesh.

John Tesh on your stick is waving the white flag
I knew part-times more of a personality then that web reader

Many of the stations in northern AZ are for sale because of the horrible economy in the "Flagstaff-Cottonwood-Sedona-Prescott" market.

Some of the Flagstaff stations are produced from the dumpy Cottonwood Valley (trailer trash to the extreme - probably worse than Edgewood!), with NO primary studio location within the city of license (Yikes!). So Flagstaff, a college/mountain town with 100" of snow a year, gets weather forecasts and news produced in Cottonwood and even in Phoenix!

On Kachina Village, Arizona - 105.1 "The Canyon," (Hot A/C), I heard Cat Casey (spelling?) of ABQ's metro networks as a DJ a few weeks ago!
