Uh, KKHT has been in stereo when checked recently...and was in stereo when checked just now...you might have mono audio, but the stereo pilot is on.KKHT has never broadcast in HD. We have broadcast in mono since 2006, when we purchased it.

When you were running from the backup site in Baytown (IIRC) you were in stereo. Sounded far better than Lumberton.KKHT has never broadcast in HD. We have broadcast in mono since 2006, when we purchased it.
Didn't mean to say KKHT does or has broadcasted in HD. I was just pointing out the eastern rimshots as awful candidates for IBOC. KQBU has also never lit up IBOC. KHJK did when they were owned by Cumulus (don't think they do today).KKHT has never broadcast in HD.
Are you sure? I could have sworn I saw the stereo light come on a few weeks ago when I scanned the band.We have broadcast in mono since 2006, when we purchased it.
KAMA has a limited signal and is totally encompassed by the KOVE signal. In other words, KAMA only covers the central zone of the market, while KOVE covers the central, southern and much of the eastern and western zones but does not make a 60 dbu signal to the northern counties of the metro.I wouldn't know the engineering or weather conditions that make this happen. But if KQQK, KTJM, and KTHT are both able to put up enough of a fight a few miles outside of downtown, I'd think KOVE could join the party. Or worst case, put KOVE on KAMA HD-2 so HD listeners can enjoy a crisp signal if they desire?
KAMA sounds better than KOVE inside the loop. Maybe they should add it to KAMA HD2 or HD3. But either way it wouldn’t benefit to do that since not that many people have HD radios.KAMA has a limited signal and is totally encompassed by the KOVE signal. I think KOVE itself should be fine broadcasting in HD. The signal is surprisingly strong north of HoustonKAMA sounds better than KOVE inside the loop. Maybe they should add it to KAMA HD2 or HD3. But either way it wouldn’t benefit to do that since not that many people have HD radios.
KKHT isn’t in Lumberton, although it claims that as the COL. How it actually serves the city of Lumberton is beyond me.When you were running from the backup site in Baytown (IIRC) you were in stereo. Sounded far better than Lumberton.
Well Stan, it does cover Lumberton. Thus the ID: KKHT Lumberton-Houston. A few years ago, it was Winnie-Houston. By the way, the signal goes all the way to Lake Charles. Most of the Houston FM stations are in Missouri City, but they claim Houston as the COL.KKHT isn’t in Lumberton, although it claims that as the COL.
