KRBL "The Rebel" is now "Praise Radio"

I thought a Spanish station was in the works on this station...I turned it on today and its playing Christian music back to back. Ranging from soft Christian music with a little bit of Christian rock. A station bumper came up saying that "you are listening to the new sounds of KRBL Idalou, Lubbock." Apparently this new station is called Praise Radio.

Now I know this station was to be sold...but who was it sold to again?

The Benavides brothers are still listed as the licensee.

I spoke with Bill Enloe today and he mentioned something about a format change, and possible new ownership.

I bet they'll keep him on as engineer.

I too was predicting KRBL's demise awhile back, but figured it would go Tejano or Spanish.

I guess Lubbock can never have too many God-casters...

yawn...

It seems to me that Lubbock just has too many of the same format. No variety. That can make for boring radio.

hey, look at it this way, Lubbock is down to 3 Country stations now so, The Bear, True Country and Triple L can divide up that 0.9 share!

Well, Dave can turn his AM into a Real Country format now...

<ducking and running for cover>

;D

You forgot that whole "God Country" thing on both ends of the dial. So...it splits the difference!
