Reminds me of the mid-Nineties FM106.3 - which is to say, there's a couple of things I'd change, but not many. It's verrry listenable, former FM106.3/WJSE guy Jason sounds great doing his Nineties bit as I write, and it appears their off-hours programming has space for deep cuts. Thumbs up.

What would you change? Just curious. KRBZ is one of the few sucessful alternative stations left...and most people said they were killing themselves by not playing Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, etc...

Hey, everybody does it a little differently, right? I'd push a bit further in the rhythmic direction, but I think that's owing to my NJ/NYC-area heritage. (But yeah, there's no way I'd 'tweak' in the Nickelback direction. That'd be like me in 1982 saying "we need more Journey".)

What kind of rhythmic artists to east coasters play? The few that are left anyway.

First: I'm aware that rhythmic probably has a different connotation than I'm intending. What I'm thinking of is "rock with a dance beat" - for instance, holding the Psychedelic Furs up against REO Speedwagon if this were the 80's. "Urban Alternative", perhaps, where the bands you'd hear are likely to be playing the Bowery Ballroom or Webster Hall in NYC...

WLIR's heritage was "Dance Oriented Rock". Now, with bands like Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, etc. around, and with Pearl Jam actually hewing back to a style that carries a solid beat with their latest single, there's a resurgence of that, and if I had my 'druthers, I'd push it - but again, that's me.

However, this is getting afield from the real topic - how would I change KRBZ? I'd add a bit of what I described above, because the station's pretty propulsive as it is. (But if I'd have to play Yellowcard to get people to listen to the upcoming !!! album, so be it.)
