And it looks like it's going to stay there, unless they somehow are able to go ahead with their construction permit for Shenandoah. That's the one for 250 watts daytime, 69 watts night non-directional and it expires in May of next year.
Their more ambitious application for 10,000 watts daytime directional (with just 35 watts at night) was officially dismissed a few months ago at the applicant's request. It seems that the FCC wanted more information about daytime radiation toward KWWJ 1360 and it also pointed out that at least part of the planned array (at the same site specified on their current CP) is admittedly prone to flooding from the nearby San Jacinto River. That would have required an environmental study, something that would be quite expensive. I can't see them doing that, or building a levee around the transmitter and tower (or both towers, if they refiled for higher power). So can we safely assume that the CP for Shenandoah will expire?
