Find the population number hard to believe. I can't hear them in parts of Scottsdale or Cave Creek, and it's sketchy at times downtown. They're another one of these next-county-over FMs pretending to be a Phoenix station, which is fine, but they're not. A quick listen and I heard a Fox News update (which is market exclusive in Phoenix to KFYI), a news sponsorship from Ace Hardware in Globe, and a weather forecast for... San Carlos and Globe. So much for Phoenix. They would better superserve their local area than get trounced by KMLE, KNIX, and soon-to-arrive KSWG. Them and KNRJ.

That's easier said than done.

How many advertising dollars are available in Globe? (I researched this when considering investing in a different station in Globe. Answer: not much, and you're going up against a family-owned institution in town with no debt, so they can drop their rates and squeeze you out of business.)

They can superserve Globe all they want, but if there's no money to be made, they'll go broke.<P ID="signature">______________
