KRDK Fargo adds HD, drops stations in reshuffling

We have some exciting news to report as we head into the fall.
KRDK Channel 4.1 is now in high definition over-the-air!

Later this month, we'll begin to broadcast more than 300 local games in primetime on Cozi TV / Bek Prime Channel 4.1 and on Bek 24/7 Channel 4.2.

With more locally produced programming than every other television station in the state of North Dakota combined, we're proud to make this next advance.

In order to make HD possible, our channel lineup is changing.

We have added the stellar programming from Bounce TV.
Decades, Movies and H&I will no longer air on KRDK.

We really appreciate all of your support and feedback in our effort to bring you more live & local programming than anyone else!

its interesting they dropped the 3 Weigel nets and added a Katz net to the group

By the way...4-1 is a hybrid COZI programming and live local sports during the high school season. So basically most prime time Cozi is not seen

They decided the Fargo region was not important enough to them at this juncture to find a way to continue our relationship.

It's important your voice is heard since they clearly did not value your loyalty and viewership.
Please let them know their abrupt decision has consequences.

We continue to have 8 channels of great programming and lots in store this fall and beyond!
 
Reading through the posts on their Facebook page, they basically say that the costs to show the networks were too high and Weigel wouldn't work with them.
If that is the case, I can see where Weigel could just point the finger back at them and say that they wouldn't pay the established cost to carry the channel to talk to them.

26.1 in Bismarck/24.1 in Minot carry Heroes and Icons, but that is the only channel they carry right now, so they can probably handle any cost more than someone carrying 8-10 channels. I wonder how much these channels cost each year to carry?
