KRDO-FM sold

R&R is reporting that Pikes Peak Broadcasting Co. has agreed to sell Hot AC KRDO-FM in the Colorado Springs market to Citadel Broadcasting Corp.

Another possibility is Citadel flipping KRDO FM to a "Martini" Adult Standards format to compete with Crawford's Legends 1530 KCMN. Citadel currently runs a "Martini" Adult Standards format in New Orleans.

interesting. How are the rock radio staions doing in CS ?I assume KILO is doing well..what about the others ?

KILO is the only non-classic rocker in town. It does very well. Clear Channel tried to give them a run with KMOM flipping to mainstream rock a couple of years ago, but it didn't fly. KILO is a good sounding station and it has heritage.

Hmm....Obviously Ivan forgets that we're NOT talking about Denver here....Either that or Ivan needs to take a look at the U.S. map (Most notably the State Of Colorado) again.... ::)Cheers :D
