>>Springs-Based Radio-TV Company Selling Stations

(Colorado Springs, CO) -- A family-owned media group in Colorado Springs is selling its radio and television stations. Pikes Peak Broadcasting yesterday announced the sale of KRDO-AM, and KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs, and KJCT-TV in Grand Junction to Missouri-based News-Press and Gazette Company. Pikes Peak Broadcasting Chairman Harry Hoth says the stations "will continue to be operated by a family-owned company solidly committed to local news and dedicated to supporting the communities it serves." News-Press and Gazette will also assume Pikes Peak Broadcasting's local marketing agreement for KSKX-FM. "The Colorado Springs Gazette" reports KRDO-FM is not part of the sale and may be sold separately. The transaction is awaiting approval of the Federal Communications Commission and is expected to be completed by mid-summer.

Being from St Joseph, I should apoligze now for the poor excuse for a company that has just invaded Colorado.

I don't know. It couldn't be worse than what's here now (according to current and former KRuD-O employees, at least.)

Interesting though that they're selling the KRDO-AM & TV (As well as KJCT 8 and the LMA to KSKX) to News-Press Gazette, but not the FM....

Most unusual nowadays to say the least...

Cheers :)
