KRIZ Reunion is this Saturday (2/23)!

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the KRIZ Reunion this Saturday for the Fan Forum, free and open to the public from 2-5pm.

You'll be in for a real treat because the advisory board members were able to get so many big names to show, and whether you listened in the 50s, 60s, or 70s -- you couldn't possibly be disappointed.

It takes place at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Hotel, 100 N. Dakota St. in Chandler, AZ. There's also the 10th annual Chandler Classic Car & Hot Rod Show right outside on the streets of Downtown Chandler that is running from 10am-4pm, so if you love both classic cars AND KRIZ, Saturday is going to be even more incredible than it already will be. (I expect to see a Gremlin entered into the show.) ;)

Wouldn't miss this one for the world. I hadn't seen Lee Marshall in over 35 years (at KCBQ in San Diego) until he came this past November for one of the planning meetings and it was just like I'd seen him the week before. [how'd the commercial go...."good friends are forever, good friends are for keeps.] W has worked his butt off, and everyone involved seems to be eagerly anticipating this one. Hope these KRIZ alumni have a good turnout - they deserve it. - Steve

I have a question regarding the 96.3 FM change for the day, to KRIZ with original KRIZ 1230 personalities...
Will that broadcast be streamed or recorded online for those that the Wickenburg signal misses?

I'm looking forward to this event, very much. There's a few of us that are meeting there to have our own mini-reunion.
Rock & Roll...

I went to the KRUX reunion a few years ago that was held in the Scottsdale Library with my mother-in-law. While I didn't live here (or was alive) during the time they were on the air, it was fun to hear all the stories. The only recognizible face for me was Al McCoy who sounds the same in person as he does doing Suns games.

I called the radio station KSWG and they said the broadcast is 6AM to 6PM Saturday and will be streamed on their web site www.963realcountry.com as well as tunein.com at KSWG for smart phones. See you at the reunion.

Thanks to Danny Davis @ KOY 1230 this great Friday morning...He had Lee Marshall, W. Steve Martin & Phil Motta guest for about 20 minutes of KRIZ Color Channel 1-2-3 memories.
It was great to hear those familiar voices from the past, here in Arizona. Danny you really have 55KOY sounding sweet on the old 1230 KHz. one thousand watter!!

;)

Does anyone know if Terry Gilberg was there? Has she ever been a music jock or has she only done talk?

As Clear Channel looks to maximize resources, how do you all think she would sound on a station like Eva?
