A friend of mine just told me. He called the station and they said they've been off since Thursday due to a serious technical issue.
I think very few people noticed

It's sad that the second oldest radio station in Sacramento....That was number 2 in the market as recently as 1978 is virtually worthless in the community.

It hasn't sold....Paula Nelson still owns it.

Actually, I bet quite a few people would notice the station being off the air if they still aired the progressive format with Christine Craft in the afternoon. I listened quite a bit, and I know many others who did as well. That was good radio... I was truly sad to see the station flip to gospel

There you go, maybe 1240 could be the place for Classic country.

Sad but true! I interviewed with them a few years ago, when it was a progressive "station". My impression was it's basically on automation 23 hours a day...now probably 24/7.

I have heard some local news and traffic updates,KRJY's Format comes from the Rejoyce Network, Owned by ABC Radio, One other thing, It came to mind so I'll just throw this out their, How would All News work in Sacramento

Wow... I think that tower has been used for decades, including the early 1970's during the mighty KROY top 40 years. Many great memories of hiding under my covers as a youth with a radio listening to Wonder Rabbit and the rest. Sad...
