KRLD changes

Does anyone know why KRLD moved everyone around? Mike Rogers and Alice Rios did a really good job with the afternoon news. I wonder what they're trying to do over there.

Doesn't appear that they've had any idea for quite some time now. Any change for what's left of TSN since the move from Arlington?

Happy talk on KRLD

Listen to it ... it's happy talk ... credited to Al Primo and WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News" years ago.

It's lame, it's pointless, it's silly ... it's ... you get the picture.

Yes Tennessee has Purchased the rights begining in January. The current TSN staff will form the New Mutual Network, with hopes of developing a new televison network called Dumont.:)

Ed, that may be as likely a future for TSN as any other scenario. Sad to see the thriving radio net it once was in tatters as it is today. Wondering what TSN was allotted for studio space and resources after the move from Arlington.

A broom closet.

Future?

Its future was yesterday.

Nuzguy, they are now in the parking garage on fitzhugh in an old sears aluminmum siding shack ,third on the left. Reporters will file stories by carrier pigeons praying that a strong gust will not take the over to Love field.

TSN has its' strengths. They've got WOAI and KLBJ as news affiliates, to take advantage of Robert Wood (the only full time radio correspondent at the state capitol). The AG network is strong, the fishing show works, and they distribute sporting events. I don't think they're going anywhere.

I seem to recall reading another post around here stating KRLD occupies three floors in that building. Offices on one floor, KRLD on one floor and TSN on one floor.

Agreed.....with the deemphasis on news today in most radio operations, TSN will never have the importance or stature it once had. But there's nothing wrong with it being a distribution system for programming. Let's face it Infinity has owned it for close to a decade and one would think it would be on the top of the expendible list for a company known for counting its pennies, particularly during the "Mel" years.

i think it will be an interesting listen in the mornings now...
As i think Brad Barton does a good job and isn't much for the happy talk...
Where Mike Rogers often tries to get in the last word or punch line....
Brad is pretty straight up and usually informative. ( somewhat old school).

let's see them battle for the airtime.

One more thing, i had noticed recently that Carla Marion was a bit TOO gabby.
maybe giddy.

Alice does a great job, i believe as does Mark Watkins....

They distribute sporting events...for the moment...changes soon come!
