KRLD Charley Jones Mike From East Texas

Last several weeks every Sunday late show Charley has athe same guest. "Mike from East Texas" Anyone know if this Guest Economist has a last name and is he paid to do these shows?

paid: Not that I'm aware of. Charley likes to have people on with perspectives and that he finds interesting.

We don't know his location or last name for the reason Mike wants to have some privacy in exchange for his wisdon and insight in these matters.

overall, i think he's much better than the dreggs that pay time on KRLD to hawk their financial wares.

A) I agree.. This guest is very interesting.
B) The fact he does not get paid makes his advice and information even better.
C) Wish he was on CNBC!!

I download the pod cast and review / listen during the day.

Nuts to that. Mike knows his economics, but his opinions are influenced by his political leanings. If you wanted to make his presence interesting, you'd bring on an economics scholar with opposing views and let them have at it.

Steve perhaps Rush should, that way maybe we can hear FACTS for a change not Bloated opinion disguised as fact.

Most people who listen to right-wing talk (or left-wing cable) are there to hear what they agree with, not what they don't. I doubt that strategy would bring in ratings on either side of the aisle.

if I WANTED to hear a blowhard PHD economics dude I'll go to CSPAN, news networks or CNBC!

He's been in the trenches not in the Ivory Towers. And he dosent have to be on in the first place like the others.

I may be the wrong person to ask, because my answer is: my entire immediate family, and at least 1/3 of my other friends and relatives. Evidently my sample is skewed.

Surveys aside, how many people do you personally know who are avid fans of today's AM radio?

I spend part of each day listening to WBAP & KSKY. Don't always agree with them. Sometimes I totally disagree, but they're usually interesting. Very few music stations have adequate News coverage anymore. 1190 does via CNN during the hours that they're playing music. 88.5 does via TSN, 92.1 Farmersville via AP. Out of (what does this market have ? 60-70 stations) that's about it.
