A guy named Austin Hill been filling-in for Jay McFarland at big 1080 this week. A definite improvement. Anyone know anything about him? He doesn't say where he's from.........

He's formerly of Clear Channel talk KFYI/Phoenix.
He's co-host of "Liddy and Hill", which started at KFYI and then briefly tried to syndicate out of Salem's KKNT/960.

A vanishing act at Salem's KKNT. Liddy & Hill thought CCU would be keen on them syndicating their KFYI afternoon show. CCU thought otherwise and L&H bolted to KKNT where Jones syndicated the show to maybe four stations on a good day. No sale anywhere and the syndie deal was shut down, leaving L&H on KKNT (no ad budget, no market presence, no ratings, marginal signal at night) up against their former station. Rest is history. Liddy is a Phoenix attorney, Hill is a radio guy. One of 'em has a real job, the other is looking.
