KRLD production changes... again

KRLD just changed their theme music in the last month. Now, they've got a completely new voice for they're promos, and they're production is changing again.

They moved from Arlington, made changes at the top, changed anchors, changed production, lost Gallager, and now their entire day is different! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO KRLD??!!

I think it's called evolution. Much to the consternation of some of the bored ops on this site they're at least looking for workable chemistry. Their success depends on a number of factors, including outside promotion, which is always a weak point with Infinity stations. The 1980's all news KRLD isn't coming back, quit lamenting its demise. Tradition means nothing to DFW, unlike cities like NYC, Chicago, Boston etc. So sit back, relax, enjoy the ride.
I'm in the obvious minority here who likes KRLD, particularly the news blocks and Ernie Brown. But then I'm not a bored op.

Actually I like their afternoon drive time. It's informative, and sure beats listening to the 'go bush, bash hilary,I am holier than thou, buy my book" crud on the other station.

And you forgot: "all liberals are going to hell"

Ya, and that just shows you how bad things are. Russ Martin is literally THE ONLY THING ON in the afternoon. If you're looking for talk (wich excludes KRLD and the FM band), RMS is all you get. So, for the moms driving their kids home from school (for whom RMS is certainly not an option) DFW has nothing.

Man, ya gotta love the armchair PD'ing going on here. I'm sure all you guys could do so much better of a job doing talk radio. Everyone together now, let's just say it...EVERYTHING sucks. We could do MUCH better than the current hosts ANYWHERE!

Wow! That's very pent up! You must've not been breast fed. I suppose if I were to consider the source, you really could make an exception as sucking may hit a little too close to home.

Put your talent where your mouth is and prove what you say in your innane babble. Swivel chairs? Is that all you got?! Amateur.

Woo hoo! "Amateur?" Are your bragging about that again? Well ya gotta start somewhere. Best of luck.

KRLD no longer NewsRadio...

I think the problem here is that CBS very quietly and without any kind of announcement has flipped KRLD from ALL NEWS to a Talk format. In fact, if you go to CBSRADIO.com they no longer list KRLD as news, but as "newstalk."

But seeing how Dallas is a very large market, this pops the door wide open for another station to take up the all news format. It's only a matter of time before that happens.
