Saw this on All Access, P/D Nate Quick is in the hospital after suffering some sort of liver disorder. Don't know when he'll be back, I hate to say this but this station has made so many changes in the last few months I'm wandering if this station will even last?

Of course this station will last. Its lasted with its antenna being installed wrong, and one of the worst signals in the market. It will last because its locally owned and programmed.

All this station needs is from Ken Dowe to stay out of the way and let the PD's do their job.

I think K104 did pretty well before Ken Dowe came aboard.

I sometime have to wonder if the people who are most anxious to throw stones have ever met or know anything about the person they are trashing? Ken Dowe has been in radio for a very long time and certainly understands "the game". He was playing music and "entertaining" Dallas before some of you could drive. Real "personalities" are hard to find these days and Ken Dowe is just that .. a strong personality that understands radio .. has researched the PPM game and will continue to be a leader in this market! Wow .. wonder if he'll send me a check?

Wait a minute... I heard Ken Dowe was running K-104, but the head of KRNB is GRANNY EMMA! Yes, I'm sure she's still "filthy rich."

Dowe is one of the last connections to Gordon McLendon that's still in the biz in DFW, if not THE last. Yeah, Chapman's still around (Platinum,) but that's on his own accord (or Civic.)

Forget about the Ken Dowe stuff. This brother has passed.Let's celebrate his life.

Nate Quick came to K104 from WPEG in Charlotte. He did middays on K104 before going to KRNB. When he passed, he was PD of KRNB and APD of K104.

Ken Dowe had his time and it was his time to go. Nate Quick will be sorely missed not just for his talent in the business but because of the exuberant character he was and always will be among those of us fortunate to have crossed his path.

Just went to the KRNB website. Man it needs updating. They still have Nate Quick doing afternoons and photos of Shay Moore.

Their webmaster has always been very slow and horrible. I think they did the same thing when Steve Woods passed.

I heard Keith Solis on the air this morning doing the news around 6 am. Does he work for them now?

No, Keith just comes in during inclement weather...you know, when's there's a "quiet storm" brewing on the horizon. B^) Hey, why not call up Kevan Browning and Sammi G and EZ Street and the gang and do a 100.3 Jamz redux over at 105.7? How hard would that be to do?

Buc, you're absolutely right about Steve Woods. He was still "alive and well" on the website for at least six months after he passed. A *TRIBUTE* to Steve on the website would have been more appropriate. I don't know what their problem is.

105.7 Jamz your old school hip hip..

Mike, that would be a dream come true.

I heard Keith runs the board for the Steve Harvey Morning Show, I heard him on air one morning soliciting a contest during the morning show.

I see Sean Andre has taken over afternoons, but who's the PD now. All I have to say is take that damn Quietstorm off seven days a week. People want to party sometimes.

The production director is now the Program Director...
